Winter 2010Potter Creek Water Quality Project
Project Update:A permanent conservation easement has been placed on the project site and the adjacent woods and wetland.
The design for the over-widening construction is complete. We are currently waiting for wetland permit approval and water quality monitoring continues.

Below are pictures of the project.
Potter Creek is a headwater tributary of
Breakneck Creek and the Cuyahoga River.
The goal of the Potter Creek Project is to reestablish
normal stream function
and preserve its ability to provide drainage for surrounding
agricultural operations.
City of Ravenna, and the Portage SWCD are the major partners.

the United States Environmental Protection Agency, under the provisions of
Section 319(h)
of the Clean Water Act.

Self-Forming Stream Project
As of 10/15/07, the site has been selected and the restoration practices are being
evaluated and designed by ODNR staff.
NEFCO and the City of Ravenna are collecting water quality
data to gauge the effectiveness of the restoration.
