2019 Portage County Conservation Photo Contest

The Conservation Photo Contest is a new program launching in 2019. This contest is open to any photos taken in Portage County . Contestants do not need to live within the county. The age divisions are youth (18 and younger) and adults (19 and older - as of December 1 2019). Contestants are allowed to enter as many as five photos each year that each fit into one of the following four categories: Conservation Practices, Close-up Conservation, Conservation in Action, or Agricultural Conservation. One winner and 5 honorable mentions will be selected from each age division. One first-place winner from each age division will be recognized and receive a $25.00 gift certificate. All twelve winners and honorable mentions will be showcased on our website gallery and sent on to NACD for a chance to win a cash prize. The semi-finalists will be determined anonymously in-house by NRCS & SWCD staff and the Board of Supervisors. The finalists will be voted upon by the public at the Randolph Fair. The Photo Contest Rules, Photo Entry and Release Form, Human Photograph Release forms, and descriptions for each contest category can be found on our website by clicking the link below or in our office at 6970 SR 88, Ravenna.
