Cuyahoga River Day Festival at Haymaker’s Farmers Market
Corner of Franklin Ave. & College St. Kent, OH

Explore river themed activities, children’s art, environmental displays and visit with aquatic animals. Learn about plastics in our watershed, stewardship opportunities, and recieve a FREE TREE and milkweed seeds! The US Coast Guard Auxiliary will also be sharing safe boating “hands on” demonstrations.

Electrofishing Demonstration at Tannery Park - 100 Stow st, Kent
10am-noon

Who says water and electricity don’t mix? Observe an electrofishing (efishing) demonstration at Tannery Park. You will see how fish are captured with efishing equipment by experienced aquatic life biologists. There will be opportunities for you to get up close and personal with local fish, so be sure to bring the kids, our budding biologists of tomorrow~ Watch for posted updates as Plum Creek Park is the backup location in high water conditions.
